Man, this is really sincere, heartfelt and a little hard to watch near the end. Daniel Day-Lewis was on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" today (January 24), ostensibly to talk about his current Oscar nomination -- but instead made an emotional statement on the death of Heath Ledger."I have a strong impression that I would have liked as a man [had I met him] and I had already marvelled at his work and had looked forward so much to seeing the work he would do in the future," Day-Lewis said as his voice cracked and trailed off.
We're trying to stay away from most kinds of this stuff, but this was particularly affecting. [TMZ]
