First Listen: Zooey Deschanel Sings In Munchausen By Proxy For 'Yes Man' Soundtrack

We've been all over this already, but once more if you haven't being paying attention: Zooey Deschanel teamed up with San Franciscan electropunk trio, Von Iva to form the fake band Munchausen By Proxy in Jim Carrey's upcoming comedy, "Yes Man."

Deschanel plays Carrey's love interest in the film and from we gather he meets her when he goes to one of her band's shows (he normally refuses everything, but once he starts saying, "yes!," he agrees to go to her show.

We unveiled the new Eels track, "Man Up," from the "Yes Man" soundtrack a few short weeks ago (The Eels' E and Lyle Workman, composer for "Superbad" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" wrote the film's score). And now we have some songs written by Zooey and her Von Iva comrades. Honestly, we're not really feeling these songs. Deschanel's shy voice isn't really suited to synth-pop - or at least she doesn't really sing very brassy like she can - but either way, its no She & Him which was rather pleasant if innocuous.

If you are feeling the tracks, the trio wrote 4 new songs, all of which are included on the film's soundtrack that comes out today via Lakeshore records both digitally and physically next week on December 16. "Yes Man" hits theaters December 19.
