All That Alcohol And Anti-Semitism Evidently Didn't Completely Fry Mel Gibson's Brain
“I couldn’t imagine going back there to try to revive that one. I think we got everything we could out of it.” Mel Gibson said, giving a definitive "no" to ever going back to the "Lethal Weapon" films or the character of Martin Riggs despite what Richard Donner or others have said. “[The character] got goofy. He started out pretty tough, but then he was eating dog biscuits. You're not afraid of a guy who does that.” It's a weird week when Hollywood folks keep espousing things that make total sense to the rest of us. [MTV News]

Yeah, but at the same time, he would have done well to at least READ Shane Black's Lethal Weapon 5 script. Whatever the case, guys like him kinda have problems getting films made. I'm clearly in favor more of Mel Gibson doing a not-great Lethal Weapon 5 if it means more movies from Shane Black. What am I even talking about?
Agree with Gabe. If Shane Black wrote the script, it's probably pretty damn good and was probably pretty special for him to take the time to even do it. Can't really give props to Gibson on this one since he did do the abominable 4th movie.
