David Goyer And Jonah Nolan Begin Writing On Third 'Batman'

Ever since "The Dark Knight," we've been bombarded with rumor after rumor about potential castings and plotlines for the next installment of Christopher Nolan's 'Batman' franchise. Luckily, at the end of day, we've been saved by the pure and simple fact that no writing has begun.

We regret to inform you then that, according to Deadline, David Goyer and Jonah Nolan have begun scripting for the next film. For the next year or two, brace yourselves for every single actor and actress in Hollywood to be linked to every single character in the Batman universe. 'Sam Worthington As The Riddler' will surely be a headline somewhere, sometime soon.

The day was coming, we guess, with "Inception" due out this summer but couldn't they have at least held off until an official announcement? The news comes as Goyer leaves his position as showrunner for ABC's "FlashForward."

British tabloids, your time has come.

And out the window goes any hope of this third film being any good.

@Alex

How's that? They both wrote Begins & TDK.

No, Jonah had nothing to with the script of Begins and Goyer's work on the sequel was minimal.
