Vulture reports that the huskily-voiced (swoon) and quite funny Emma Stone is in negotiations to join Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling in the comedy "Crazy, Stupid Love."
The film follows a "sad-sack Dad" (Carell) whose wife leaves him, while a womanizing bachelor (Gosling) takes him under his wing. While the role Stone is looking to play is not revealed, its said to be spoilerish and "a pivotal one that ties the whole film together."
There is still no word on when this will get in front of cameras, but with the cast being lined up and Carell's "The Office" hiatus just around the corner, we expect it should be very soon. As we previously reported, John Requa and Glenn Ficarra ("I Love You Phillip Morris") will be directing.
