'Repo Men' Soundtrack Features Beck, RZA, UNKLE & More

Even if the film isn't all that great, the soundtrack to "Repo Men" has some serious pedigree.

The twelve song set leans heavily on a mix of hip hop, electronic music and alt rock -- and sometimes all three at once. Wu-Tang soulmates Method Man and RZA contribute some tracks, while UNKLE, Beck and alt rockers Moloko stop by for appearances. Taking things down a notch are Rosemary Clooney and Nina Simone and things get soulful with tracks by Toots & The Maytals and William Bell. Score composer Marco Beltrami also has one of his pieces included to close off the disc.

"Repo Men" opens today and if you like what you hear, the soundtrack hits stores on Tuesday.

"Repo Men" Soundtrack Tracklisting

1. Sway – Rosemary Clooney
2. Release Yo’ Delf [Prodigy Remix] – Method Man (remix)

I kept telling my movie date just how AWESOME the soundtrack was as we watched this flick.

The pacing and selection of the songs was very well done.

It made the movie even more enjoyable to watch :)

if you want to find a good version of the song the girl sings, "cry me a river," look for the Ella Fitzgerald version....very beautiful. Very sultry.

Can't even remember when a soundtrack was this good. Also, awesome site. Much love

this soundtrack was incredible, it not only set the pace of the film but the emotion. Very very well done--I agree with Hal, Ella is the queen but another great selection for "Cry Me a River" would have to be Julie London on the V for Vendetta soundtrack.

Was kinda hoping the Moloko track would resemble the remix used in Repo Men, as opposed to the already released album track.

Also, I feel like there was infinitely more music used in the movie than what's on the soundtrack. So many soundtracks are like this these days. Wish they wouldn't leave stuff out.

so sad to hear that the moloko track on the sdtk isn't the remix used in the film. LOVED the film version. love the original, but the remix is a nice surprise...

Soundtrack really made the movie. But who did the music supervision? Can't find it on IMDB.

could anyone post a link to the soundtrack and share

the Fitzgerald version is okay, but I love the Billie Holiday version of Cry me a River. Why didn't they include this on the soundtrack? It was such an integral part of the movie...

Nicholas said...

Okay, trying out the Julie London version...Yes, very noir. Perfect.
Also agree that os much of the music was left out from the soundtrack. Why so? that sucks.

loved it! Nina Simone's Feeling Good just kept on buzzing in my head for days afterwords, and thanks to this blog - I finally found what I was looking for...yeah, shame on me, I'm not that acquainted with her body of work. What an amazing song!
As for the movie, I thought it was pretty good, personally - SPOILER ALERT - I would have like a happier ending...but maybe than it'd feel like the Blade Runner despicable ending, that just never felt right.

i wanna kno the name of that techno song thats playin during the stripping scene, lol. can anyone help me out?

Danielle said...

oh this is killing me,
anybody know the song that rza was trying to finish in his house when remy came??
is it an actual song?

One of the best soundtracks recently. Well balanced, it really makes the movie. Not sure, why the movie is such a disaster commercially? Must be politics - too gory to get access to many theaters, especially in the US. Whatsoever...

The RZA (feat Stone Mecca & Reverend...) song is #10: "Every Day Will Be Like A Holiday". It's a brand new tune composed for the movie. More songs of this collabo can be found on the Afro Samurai CDs, too.

Does anyone know where I can get a brand new (and unregistered) pair of lungs? :D

I agree with Anonymous! Whats the techno song in the movie during the scene with the stripper who pops out of the heart at 38:30. Please help!

i liked the movie defently worth watching a second time, but i absolutly loved the soundtrack i was singing along from the start its been a long time since i thought "i want that soundtrack" i love it

For a movie to be made that is so crazy in its concept.. it is more personal if the music matches the mind state as you watch.

and if this ever becomes reality in its form... i will be listening to moloko as i 'repo' the love of my life..(however much of a dream it is..)

Ahmet said...

When you are cutting each other at the end of the film is the music played at that time?

At the end of the movie while on the beach, a song of 'not someday-but today' for reaching ones dream was played. The credits show it to be 'Black Eyed Peas / Someday'. That is not the song. Does anyone know the correct song?

BubbleBlower said...

The song playing on the beach at the end, which has the 'reach your dream today- not someday' was in the credits as 'Black Eyed Peas / Someday'- and is not the song, nor the ones on the soundtrack. Having trouble finding this! Anyone?
