Ryan Reynolds & Jason Bateman To Star In 'The Change Up'

While Deadline Hollywood's "news story" is exactly one sentence long (at least for now; they'll probably update it shortly), we've dug up a few more details on the "The Change Up" that is set to be directed by David Dobkin.

Starring Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds, the film is based on a script purchased last summer by Universal. The project, written by "Wedding Crashers" and "The Hangover" writers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, is basically "a responsible guy with a wife gets swapped with his best friend, a lazy man child." We're not sure exactly how the body-switching works here but it sounds like some kind of "Freaky Friday" meets "The Odd Couple" hybrid with much more sex jokes.

No other details are available, but with Bateman attached it probably means yet another delay for the never-gonna-happen "Arrested Development" movie.

I will see Jason Bateman in anything. I stumbled across this site because I routinely search for new info about him. Is that weird? Great site. I'll definitely come back for non Jason news but the fact of the matter is I'm obsessed with him which is cool cus he's an obsessive type too. He's obsessed with classical music.
