Treat this report as very early and probably unlikely, but according to E! Online, Kristen Stewart has met with Timur Bekmambetov at least once with an eye at starring in "Wanted 2."
As we all know, Angelina Jolie was at one point (and somewhat incomprehensibly) eyeing a return to the sequel, but bailed in February. Apparently, money and scheduling were the issues that led to her leaving. As for Stewart, she is a favored choice by the studio and director but her commitments to "Breaking Dawn" may put her out of the running. "Wanted 2" was/is tentatively scheduled to shoot in August but with the final installment of the "Twilight" franchise still not having in locked in a start date trying to another film in before might prove to be difficult.
While Stewart is certainly cheaper than Jolie, she's also unproven outside of the "Twilight" series of films. "The Runaways" didn't exactly set the world on fire, and frankly, we don't buy her as a big action lead. But then again, we never thought we'd see James McAvoy blowing shit up either.
Again, this isn't likely to happen and Bekmambetov is apparently eyeing other projects, fully expecting "Wanted 2" not to happen. A bit of wishful thinking, but interesting nonetheless.

Do I have to say it? Zoe Saldana should get the female lead in Wanted 2.
Good choice.
I 3rd this choice. She's gotta keep in the action and sci-fi modes while balancing them out with serious/indie stuff. Just like Jolie is doing...
And she's on fire -- and she's hot.
I wouldn't mind seeing Kristen Stewart in something like this. I would think the character calls for someone strong, confident and in charge and I think it'd be interesting to see if she could pull it off. Zoe would be good too, but that would be two action roles in a row, would she want to do that?
