Ryan Reynolds & Bradley Cooper Sign On For Cop Comedy Written By 'Up In The Air' Scribe Sheldon Turner

The best job in Hollywood right now is apparently being Ryan Reynolds' agent because not only is he being offered seemingly every high-profile role under the sun, he's taking them too.

Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper have both signed on to star in a currently untitled cop comedy written by Sheldon Turner ("Up In The Air"). The film will follow "two friends, who are also San Francisco cops, whose fathers were once partners on the police force. The older generation is forced out of retirement to help their sons crack a case, with typically antagonistic results." The film is described as having a "'Lethal Weapon' flavor" and obviously, there are two meaty roles for some older actors to take on as well.

The pitch has been banging around Hollywood for the last few years under the name "Blowback" with Dwayne Johnson attached at one point, but with both Reynolds and Cooper inking seven-figure deals to star, the project is now looking for a studio to get things rolling. No word yet on a director.

For Reynolds this adds to his already busy slate which includes "The Change-Up," "Safe House," "Deadpool," "R.I.P.D.," and the likely inevitable "Green Lantern 2." [Risky Business]
