Will Ferrell To Star In Spanish Language Comedy 'Casa De Mi Padre' Forcing Frat Boys To Read Subtitles

The Wrap is reporting that Will Ferrell is set to produce and star in the Spanish-language comedy "Casa de mi padre."

Details about the project are being kept tight but the film, titled "House Of My Father" in English will apparently be entirely in Spanish with subtitles for those of us not fluent in the language. The project is set up through Ferrell's Gary Sanchez Productions and a director hasn't yet been named, but it won't be frequent collaborator Adam McKay.

This is certainly an interesting turn for the comedic actor and for many of his frat boy fan base, it will definitely be the first (and possibly last) time they ever watch a film with subtitles.

Yeah, because Frat Boys are the only people who see Will Ferrell movies.

I can't imagine anyone liking those arty subtitled movies also liking Anchorman or Talladega Nights. The box office for those films was solely supported by male college students in fraternities.

Readers of The Playlist prefer humorous essays in The Atlantic (The New Yorker is too pedestrian) to the purile comedies of Adam McKay. We did enjoy his role in Woody Allen's Melinda and Melinda though, very dry, very dry.

No need to be dicks about it....
Plus, I doubt many frat boys saw Stranger Than Fiction or Melinda and Melinda

Yes because all frat boys are stupid and only like Will Ferrel movies. Right?
