We now have our first look at the currently shooting "Fright Night" remake, featuring a nearly unrecognizable David Tennant portraying Peter Vincent, a veteran vampire hunter and apparently in the film, a Criss Angel-esque magician with a show called Fright Night.
Directed by Craig Gillespie ("Lars And The Real Girl") the film boasts a strong cast, including Anton Yelchin as the lead, Toni Collette as his mother, Imogen Poots as his love interest, Christopher Mintz-Plasse as his friend Evil Ed, Dave Franco as an asshole bully and Colin Farrell as a "Jaws"-like vampire living next door. When we first heard of the project, we weren't particularly enthusiastic, but with this talent involved, we're definitely curious.
The film will hit in time for Hallowe'en next year, on October 7, 2011.
